Author Information

Sal Sawler is a children's author living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Their early books were shortlisted for the Forest of Reading and Hackmatack and earned a Moonbeam Children's Book Award. Their debut picture book, When the Ocean Came to Town, was featured on CBC Canada Kids Reads. Nandita Ratan is a Vancouver-based illustrator from Hyderabad, India. With a keen interest in printed work, she began her career designing for events and various editorial clients. When she isn't drawing, she spends her time enjoying the sunshine, drinking copious amounts of tea and talking to her plants.
