Overview

In 1994, James Patrick Akin made a plaster cast of a giant footprint in the swamps of a rural Georgia county. In the years since, this cast came to be known in the Bigfoot research community as the Elkins Creek Cast. In his book, Akin takes the reader along as he casts the giant footprint and explores the theories behind Bigfoot research and the interrelated nature of the unexplained.

The Elkins Creek Cast is just one of the paranormal experiences James Patrick Akin has had. He lives in central Georgia with his wife, an educator, and two Jack Russell terriers, who really run the show. He has a bachelor's degree in history and cultural anthropology, and master's degrees in both public administration and education, all of which served him well in his careers as a law enforcement officer and teacher.
