Overview

In this book, a novel brazing method by integrating the green and efficient Ni-P/Ni-Cr-P electrodeposition with the brazing technology was proposed to settle the mutual restriction of brazing quality and efficiency for stainless steel with thin-walled structures caused by the difficulty in coating and controlling the dosage of the filler metals. New Ni-P/Ni-Cr-P alloy plating baths were developed, and the formation and crystal structure of the electrodeposited alloy layers were investigated. In addition, the electrochemical reduction mechanism of Ni-Cr-P alloys was studied by means of linear sweep voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry. Brazing tests were conducted to verify the brazability of the electrodeposited Ni-P/Ni-Cr-P layers.
