Ltd. and A. Reyrolle & Co. Ltd. He later joined the staff of the Nottingham Trent University as Professor of Electrical Engineering. He passed away in 1996. Gordon Newbery worked for the Brush Electrical Engineering Company on fuse research, fuse design and development, later progressing to Technical Director of Brush Fuse-gear Limited, Hawker Fuse-gear Limited and Bussmann Division of Cooper Industries in the UK.
