Christophe Galfard (Paris, 1976) se doctoro en fisica en la Universidad de Cambridge bajo la tutela del mismisimo Stephen Hawking. Le gusta decir que aun conserva la camisa que vestia cuando investigaba con el los agujeros negros, aunque hace tiempo que abandono el ambito academico mas cerrado para acompanar al gran publico de la mano por los misterios del universo. Desde entonces se ha convertido en el divulgador joven mas brillante y riguroso del momento, alternando animadas conferencias, apariciones enprogramas televisivos y alimentando la conversacion directa con sus lectores a traves de su pagina web (en especial en la seccion Preguntame sobre el universo ). Con ese espiritu ha publicado tres novelas y tambien ayudo a su maestro y a su hija Lucy Hawking a escribir una exitosa novela juvenil, bestseller de The New York Times y traducida a 45 idiomas. Todas sus inquietudes y anhelos han quedado condensados en el titanico pero accesible El universo en tu mano, un libro en el que se propone dos cosas: nodejar a ningun lector atras y emplear una sola formula (E=mc2).
