Purificación Pujol nació en Barcelona, donde pasó su infancia. Vivió en Mallorca y Murcia antes de regresar de nuevo a la Ciudad Condal. En la actualidad divide su tiempo entre Madrid y Menorca.   Jurista de reconocido prestigio, se doctoró en Derecho y sirvió como magistrada durante dieciocho años en distintos juzgados de Madrid. Ha publicado numerosos libros de temática científico-jurídica, todos de gran éxito, y el ensayo Un divorcio elegante (editorial Grijalbo). Esta es su primera incursión en ficción.
