Es teólogo y pastor colombiano. Fue rector del Seminario Teológico Bautista Internacional de Cali, Colombia. Es director de relaciones eclesiásticas e identidad cristiana de Visión Mundial para América Latina y el Caribe; es miembro de la Fraternidad Teológica Latinoamericana; estudiante del doctorado en teología en la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Colombia y autor de varios libros. Está casado con Marilú Navarro y es padre de dos hijos: Laura y Juan Miguel. Vive con su familia en San José, Costa Rica.
