PETER ELLIOTT is a retired lawyer with a lifelong interest in history and he now lives in the Languedoc, France, researching and writing stories about people with whom he has a personal connection and empathy. Coincidentally over forty years ago he became acquainted with two of the leading men who were in the Northern Italian mountains in 1944-45, and has now traced their stories.
