He has held positions as the Rector of the Institute of Industrial Arts, Helsinki, Director of the Museum of Finnish Architecture, Helsinki, and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Helsinki University of Technology, and has held visiting professorships at schools of architecture around the world. Pallasmaa is the author or editor of more than 70 books, including The Thinking Hand: Existential and Embodied Wisdom in Architecture and The Embodied Image: Imagination and Imagery in Architecture. His work The Eyes of the Skin: Architecture and the Senses is widely considered a classic of architectural thought. Pallasmaa served on the Pritzker Prize in Architecture jury from 2008 to 2014. Alberto Campo Baeza born in Valladolid, he saw the light in Códiz. He is an Emeritus Head Professor of Design at the Madrid School of Architecture, ETSAM, where he has been a professor for more than 35 years. In 2023 he conducted a postgraduate course at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid. His works have been widely recognized and exhibited at Crown Hall, IIT Chicago; the Urban Center, New York; the Palladio Basilica, Vicenza; the Tempietto S. Pietro in Montorio and the MAXXI in Rome; the MA Gallery, Tokyo; and the American Academy of Arts and Letters, New York. He has been a full member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Spain since 2014. In 2020 he has been honored with the Gold Medal and the National Prize for Architecture in Spain. In 2024, he received The Daylight Award for Architecture in Copenhagen. Matteo Zambelli (Editor) is an architect and associate professor at DIDA (Department of Architecture, University of Florence). His research includes design methods and the pedagogy of architecture and design. He has taught courses on architectural design and history and theory of contemporary architecture at the Faculties of Engineering of Ancona and Trento. At DIDA, he teaches the Laboratory of Technology of Architecture and the course Soft Skills for Design. He has written books about contemporary architects, new trends in architecture, and design methods. He has also translated and edited several books from English into Italian.
