OverviewMy considerations are based on taking into account changes in family life and structure, current lifestyles, and the social environment with its increasingly limited opportunities for physical activity. The importance of physical activity for the development of growing children is described from an anthropological and learning psychology perspective. In particular, it highlights when, what and how observations can be made and to what extent ""exercise portions"" can be helpful. To this end, useful observation aids and development overviews are outlined. Detailed information on test implementation and evaluation can be found in the literature cited. Finally, it is pointed out how important it is in the course of a child's development to control their movement patterns in as varied, unforced, but well-thought-out a manner as possible. This applies both to movement in the parental home and in all other childcare institutions, such as childminders, nurseries and sports clubs.
