Overview

Eek was a very small spider, a jumping spider to be exact, and he was as fuzzy as a dandelion puff. His eyes, oh his eyes were like two shiny, round blueberries, always looking, always curious. He lived in a home that was perfectly snug, woven with the wonderfully shiniest silk imaginable. This cozy little place was nestled right amongst a pile of autumn leaves, where the colours were as warm as a hug. Tonight, the air was different. It smelled crisp and sweet, like the most delicious pumpkin pie that had just come out of the oven, mixed with the scent of apples that had fallen from the trees and ripened in the cool air. Eek peeked out from his silky doorway, his eight little spider legs twitching, not with fear, but with a fizzing, bubbling excitement. The moon, hanging high in the sky, was like a big, creamy smile, and its gentle glow made Eek's whole world seem soft and magical. It was Eek's very first Halloween night, and he felt a tingle, a shiver of anticipation. He was ready for an adventure, a little bit nervous, yes, his fuzzy body felt a tiny bit wobbly, but mostly, he was very, very curious about all the wonderful things that might be waiting for him just beyond his familiar web.
