Overview

This book presents for the first time the results of scientific research in the field of special education and special psychology carried out by top experts of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. The range of problems discussed in the book reflects the most relevant areas of development of the education system and psychological and pedagogical assistance to children with special educational needs (SEN). Anna A. Arinushkina is one of the leading experts in education management, innovation and quality assessment in education, and monitoring research in education. She is a former member of the Dissertation Council at the Institute of Education Management of the Russian Academy of Education. She is editor-in-chief of “Pedagogy and Education” journal and a member of the editorial boards of journals “Modern Education,” “Education Management,” and “Pedagogical Informatics.” Igor A. Korobeynikov is an expert in correctional pedagogy, psychiatry, a practicing psychiatrist, and the author of numerous works devoted to the conceptual and methodological aspects of clinical and psychological diagnosis of childhood developmental disorders. He is editor-in-chief of the journal “Defectology” and a member of the Expert Council of the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in pedagogy and psychology.
