Overview

The 'Education and Skills Act 2008' is an Act to make provision about education and training; and for connected purposes. The Act received Royal Assent on 26 November, 2008. This book is divided into five parts. Part 1 - 'Duty to Participate in Education or Training: England' contains chapters that include: Young Persons; Local Education Authorities and Educational Institutions, Etc; Employers; Parenting Contracts and Parenting Orders; Attendance Notices; and Miscellaneous. Part 2 - Support for Participation in Education or Training: Young Adults with Learning Difficulties and Young People in England'. Part 3 Adult Skills. Part 4 - 'Regulation and Inspection of Independent Educational Provision in England' contains chapters that include Independent Educational Institutions in England, and Schools Providing for Special Education Needs. Part 5 - 'Miscellaneous and General' contains chapters that include Powers of National Assembly for Wales, Miscellaneous, and General.
