Author Information

Donald Moores is a full professor, Senior Research Scientist, and director of the Center for Studies in Education and Human Development at Gallaudet University. He received his Ph.D. in 1967 at the University of Illinois. As director of the Center for Studies in Education and Human Development, Moores oversees research in child development, mental health, reading, and secondary education as well as his own research in psycholinguistics, learning theory and deafness. He has more than 150 publications including books, monographs, chapters, articles and proceedings and has made over 80 scholarly presentations. Honors include a research travel grant to the Soviet Union and a Fulbright Fellow Award. Most recently, he has worked as Editor of the American Annals of the Deaf.
