He is an international figure in architectural practice and urban design, with more than 40 projects worldwide, including major cultural institutions, universities, hotels, commercial centers, and residential work. Born in L dz, Poland, in 1946, Libeskind was a virtuoso musician before studying architecture. He has taught and lectured at universities all over the globe, received numerous awards, and designed world-renowned projects, including the master plan for the World Trade Center in New York and the Jewish Museum Berlin.
