Author Information

San Juanita G. Rodriguez is a mother and grandmother who loves to write simple children's stories. Though she came from what is often called ""humble beginnings,"" she discovered her love for writing while attending a community college, where she learned to use her imagination and creativity to fill the pages of a personal journal. She often creates her stories in her mind before ever sitting down to write. Spending time with her grandchildren is one of her greatest joys, especially when reading stories to them-because she believes there is no wrong story when it is shared with love. In addition to writing stories, she has also written simple songs for her grandchildren. She wrote Edan and the Butterfly with the hope that it will bring comfort and encouragement to children, and to anyone, who is coping with the loss of a loved one. She hopes you enjoy this story. Adrian Rodriguez was born and raised in the great state of Texas, where he grew up with strong family values and a desire to help others. When his mother shared her wish to publish one of her most cherished children's stories and specifically asked him to serve as the illustrator, he was overjoyed and accepted immediately. He has been drawing and sketching since the age of seven and later expanded his creative skills to include digital photography and emerging technologies such as digital illustration and AI-assisted art. His artistic journey reflects both creativity and a deep respect for storytelling. In addition to his artistic work, he has traveled extensively and has a long history of volunteering with children and teens through church-related ministries and community events. He is married and a proud father, and he is honored to bring this story to life alongside his mother.
