Overview

Using beautiful Images and meticulous descriptions, the book ""Ectomycorrhizae in Cameroon: Vital Carbon Sinks for Global Warming Attenuation"" presents Ectomycorrhizal Associations of Primary Forests of Cameroon. They include 26 ectomycorrhizal tree species belonging to only Ceasalpinoidae and Phyllantaceae botanical families, nearly 40 identified ectomycorrhizae, more than 300 ectomycorrhizal mushrooms in 12 ectomycorrhizal families mainly, Amanitaceae, Boletaceae, Cantharellaceae, Cortinariaceae and Russulaceae. Owing to its vast and rich ectomycorrhizal Biodiversity, rainforests of Cameroon constitute ""Hotspot Biodiversity"" of ectomycorrhizal associations in Central Africa. Congo basin is the First Tropical Forest Carbon Sink on Earth owing to its vast and unique ectomycorrhizal Biodiversity.
