Author Information

Peter Stoett is Dean of Social Science and Humanities at Ontario Tech University. He has published widely on global environmental governance and human rights issues and has worked extensively with the United Nations. Recently he co-chaired an IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) Assessment. He currently holds a grant from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada. With Sandy Lamalle, he recently co-edited 'Representations and Rights of the Environment', published by Cambridge University Press in 2023. Delon Alain Omrow is a Lecturer and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities at Ontario Tech University, and Professor at Centennial College, located near Toronto. His research explores transnational environmental crime, ecoviolence, debt-for-nature swaps, and the links between ecocidality and suicidality. He is also a member of INTERPOL's Wildlife Crime Working Group. With Peter Stoett, he co-authored 'Spheres of Transnational Ecoviolence: Environmental Crime, Human Security, and Justice', published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2021.
