Economic Transformations in Population Aging: Unlocking the Silver Economy

Overview

Population aging is redefining the global economic landscape, revealing both challenges and opportunities within what is increasingly known as the ""silver economy."" As the world is experiencing rising life expectancy and shifting profiles, older adults are emerging as a powerful economic and social force and expanding new sectors in health and technology. Unlocking the potential of the silver economy requires rethinking traditional assumptions about aging, work, and productivity, while fostering inclusive policies and business models that value the experience. This transformation not only holds the promise of economic growth but also invites a more equitable and age-positive vision for the future. Economic Transformations in Population Aging: Unlocking the Silver Economy explores the challenges and innovations of the silver economy. By combining quantitative analyses, qualitative research, comparative studies, and policy analysis, it constructs a robust theoretical and practical framework for understanding and acting within the aging economy. Covering topics such as silver economy, social transformations, and aging populations, this book is an excellent resource for academicians, researchers, business leaders, policymakers, public sector managers, economists, educators, graduate students, and more.
