Dr. Panos Dimitrakopoulos is a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of the Peloponnese (Greece). He is holds a PhD degree from school of Management at University of Peloponnese. He is PhD Thesis focused on The Impact of Major Energy Indexes on the Economic Growth of EU Countries, According to the Contribution of Industry to GDP. His academic background includes an MBA in Financial Planning and Public Sector Management, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and a postgraduate certificate in Pedagogical and Teaching Competence. His main research interests lie in the fields of energy transition, sustainable development, and green entrepreneurship, with a particular emphasis on rural economies. He has published in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate and has contributed chapters to collective academic volumes by Springer and IGI Global. His work includes field-based qualitative research, systematic literature reviews, and the analysis of institutional frameworks affecting economic and energy performance across European regions. He has presented his work at international academic conferences in Greece, Serbia, the UK, and Italy, and has served as a reviewer for academic book submissions and journals such as Interdisciplinary Environmental Review. He has also led and participated in funded research projects related to local economic registries and the energy efficiency of institutions. Assoc. Prof. Dimitrios Salampasis is the FinTech Capability Lead and Associate Professor of Emerging Technologies and FinTech at the Swinburne University of Technology in Australia. He is also a Senior Executive Fellow at the Digital Economist in Washington DC. Dimitrios is an award-winning and globally-recognized thought leader, educator, researcher, and sought-after speaker, passionate about innovation and business strategy, global affairs and geopolitics, digital economy (FinTech), sustainability and emerging technologies nexus. Dimitrios holds several international visiting professorship positions and fellowships. He is the recipient of the 2022 Innovation Excellence Award (Hellenic-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry), the 2021 Blockchain Educator Award (Blockchain Australia) and the 2021 Swinburne University Vice Chancellor's Industry Engagement Award (Individual). Dimitrios publishes in international peer-reviewed academic journals and books and his work is regularly presented in major international conferences, leading industry forums, executive education masterclasses and invited keynotes around the world. His research has been published in leading journals incl. Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal, British Journal of Management and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. Dimitrios’ research interests revolve around the organizational, human, geopolitical and ESG sides of innovation and open innovation in emerging technologies and FinTech. His areas of specialist expertise, research, teaching, industry engagement, policy and advisory work revolve around the emergence and development of FinTech-enabled business models (incl. open banking, open finance and ethics of programmable money), Blockchain-enabled human rights due diligence (modern slavery reporting) and corporate environmental stewardship (greenwashing), synthetic identity fraud and online scams, programmable democracy, quantum and neuromorphic computing in the financial and the public sectors, together with, their relevant global regulatory, societal, ethical and policy implications. Dimitrios is a trusted partner to C-Level Executives, CEOs and Board of Directors of leading corporations, start-ups, and government officials Dr. Ilias Makris is a professor in Financial Analysis. He received his PhD on Business Administration at University of Patras. He currently serves as a Professor at the Department of Accounting and Finance, of the University of the Peloponnese, Teaching Economics and Finance, in undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has served as Scientific Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of Technological Educational Institute of Peloponnese (2009-2015), Head of the Dept of Accounting and Finance and Director of postgraduate program in Finance, dept. of Accounting & Finance. He has authored many refereed publications in international journals, book chapters, collective volumes and international conferences. Dr. Sotiris Apostolopoulos is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Development at the University of Neapolis (Paphos, Cyprus). He also acts as Coordinator of the Undergraduate Programs in Business Administration & Digital Business of the Department of Economics and Business for the same University. He holds a PhD degree from the School of Management of University of the Peloponnese and two Master’s degrees (MSc) in Healthcare Administration and in Finance as well. He specialises in rural entrepreneurship, European policies and the socio-economic development of the rural areas with emphasis on private and social health enterprises. His research interests focus on local development, European policies, private and social enterprises as well as on innovation. He has many years’ experience working in the management of private companies. He served as Head of Communication and Public Relations of the Marketing Department of the Rehabilitation & Recovery Center “Diaplasis” in Greece and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the largest regional private hospital “City Hospital” of the Peloponnese Region. His research articles have been published in major scientific journals by publishers such as Wiley, Emerald, MDPI, while he has participated in studies that were included and published as book chapters in edited volumes (IGI Global, Eburon, etc.). In parallel, he has taken part through research work in international and European conferences on Economics, Entrepreneurship and Innovation held in Greece, Cyprus, UK, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Montenegro. He has experience in submitting and implementing proposals related to European programmes. Recently, the World Health Organization included in its official database two research papers of Sotiris (co-author), concerning the rural health enterprises during the Covid-19 pandemic.
