Author InformationRICARDO FFRENCH-DAVIS is Professor of Economics at the University of Chile. He has a PHD from the Univeristy of Chicago and he was Former Principal Adviser of ECLAC, Co-founder of the Chilean think tank CIEPLAN, and Chief Economist of the Central Bank. He has represented Presidents Lagos and Bachelet in the International Initiative to Fight Hunger and Poverty, and was awarded the National Prize for the Humanities and Social Sciences in 2005.
