OverviewEmmanuel Chimezie is a Nigerian poet whose work blends lyricism with daring experimentation. His poems traverse the boundaries between silence and sound, faith and doubt, memory and imagination. He was the second runner-up in the Splendour of Dawn Poetry Contest (April-May edition, 2024) and a contestant in the Dawn Poetry Network. His poetry has been published internationally, including in TAAHIRA Magazine, ILA Magazine (USA) and the Wheelsong anthologies (UK). In Echoes of a Fading Star, his debut poetry collection, Emmanuel brings together intimate lyric and bold experiment, creating verses that shift between clarity and abstraction. Through this balance, his work reflects both the fragility of human existence and the restless search for new forms of expression. Beyond poetry, Emmanuel is a teacher with seven years of experience and an active member of global literary communities. Echoes of a Fading Star is both a beginning and an invitation-a glimpse of a poet who writes at the edge of tradition and experiment, always chasing the light of a fading star.
