Reviews

""These poems from Heather...they're dirty and serene and angsty and wondering and tender and feisty and loud and quiet and resilient...they make you feel more alive."" -Rob Bell, Author of New York Times bestseller Love Wins ""The poetic gives the possibility of speech to the previously ineffable. And that is what I find in the God-saturated poems in Eat the Dirt. Heather Hamilton is a gifted poet exploring the greatest of mysteries."" -Brian Zahnd, Author of The Wood Between the Worlds: A Poetic Theology of the Cross ""The poems in this fine collection venture down the dark descent and seek the light that's buried deep, the light of encounter rather than escape, 'the light of life born in a manger'."" -Malcolm Guite, Poet, Priest, and Author ""Heather Hamilton's new collection of poems will show you what poetry can do: using a few words to take you to moments of insight beyond words."" -Brian D. McLaren, Author of Life After Doom and The Last Voyage ""It is an enormous risk-to give oneself away to the world-but what a bittersweet delight to hear the sound of that emptying. Heather's poetry... sings."" -Levi Macallister (Levi the Poet), Spoken-word Artist and Author ""Each of Heather's 52 poems is a pathway into a more honest, courageous, and unshackled relationship with oneself and life. Poetry invites you into places where no systematic theology can go, and Heather Hamilton's Eat the Dirt are verses that open insights you won't encounter in pop-spirituality writings or seminary books."" -Jim Palmer, Founder of The Center for Non-Religious Spirituality, Author of Inner Anarchy
