OverviewPlease note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Tremblement de Terre (or Earthquake ) Cocktail has been attributed to the French Post-Impressionist painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa or simply Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (24 November 1864 - 9 September 1901) was a French painter, printmaker, draughtsman, and illustrator, whose immersion in the colourful and theatrical life of fin de siecle Paris yielded an oeuvre of exciting, elegant and provocative images of the modern and sometimes decadent life of those times. Toulouse-Lautrec is known along with Cezanne, Van Gogh, and Gauguin as one of the greatest painters of the Post-Impressionist period. The name is derived from its effects, which tend to shake up the drinker. The british rock n roll group Tremblement de Terre is named after Lautrec's cocktail in tribute to his influence and works. It is sometimes served with ice cubes or shaken in a cocktail shaker filled with ice to chill it before serving. Full Product DetailsAuthor: Frederic P. Miller , Agnes F.
