Author Information

Pamela Meadows is an economist who works on social policy issues. She is a visiting fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research and Birkbeck and Royal Holloway Colleges. In addition to her research on pensions, she is currently working on the evaluation of Sure Start, the evaluation of basic skills training and the market for childcare services at a local level. She was formerly Director of the Policy Studies Institute and Chief Economist at the Department of Employment.
