His recent books include Anglo-Saxon Deviant Burial Customs (OUP, 2009) and (ed. with Julio Escalona) Scale and Scale Change in the Early Middle Ages (Brepols, 2011). Leslie Webster is former Keeper of the Department of Prehistory and Europe at the British Museum and an Honorary Visiting Pofessor at the UCL Institute of Archaeology. As Senior Curator of the Anglo-Saxon collections at the BM she also cocurated several major exhibitions on early medieval themes.
