Author Information

Gail M. Frazier was an avid reader and educator for over 35 years in Georgia, North Carolina and Nurnberg, Germany. She empowered young children to believe in themselves and love to use alliteration in her teaching. She had a passion for Early Childhood Education and went out of her way to make sure every child she encountered felt important. Ms. Frazier wrote Early Eddie Eats Everything Edible before she passed away and the book was later published by her only daughter April N. West. April N. West, the daughter of writer Gail M. Frazier, is a crochet designer and an Information Technology professional in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area. She found Early Eddie Eats Everything Edible on an old floppy disk drive and decided to honor her beautiful mother's creative writing by having it illustrated and published posthumously. Illustrator Jacqui C. Smith creates unique artwork that showcases the diverse beauty of women of color through murals, children's books, portraits, and more. After graduating from Columbia College of Chicago with a B.A. in Traditional Animation, Jacqui headed to Burbank California to begin her journey as a freelance artist. Jacqui also creates murals for Walmarts across the country that focus on community and diverse representation.
