Associate Professor Wendy Boyd, Southern Cross University, Australia, has made a significant contribution to research and practice in early childhood education and care. Her research approach is grounded in achieving quality education delivered by effective teachers. She has a deep understanding of quality early childhood education and care, having been the director of a large early childhood center for 24 years, which was consistently assessed as achieving high quality. Professor Susanne Garvis is a professor of early childhood in the Griffith Institute for Educational Research, Griffith University, Australia. She is an international expert who has worked in Australia and Sweden. Her research focuses on policy, quality improvement, and evaluation sciences within early childhood education and care for children aged birth to five years.
