Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationShangyan Zou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Michigan Technological University (MTU). Prior to this appointment in 2022, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU) from 2021 to 2022. And he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University (ISU) before joining the Pacific Marine Energy Center at OSU (from 2018 to 2021). He received his PhD in the Department of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics at MTU in 2018. Dr. Zou has research interests in dynamics and control with applications to ocean renewables, multi-agent systems (autonomy), machine learning, optimization, and state estimation. Ossama Abdelkhalik is a professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University. Dr. Abdelkhalik received his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University, as well as a B.S. and M.S. degrees in aerospace engineering from Cairo University, Egypt. His research interests are in the areas of optimal control, modeling of dynamic systems, wave energy conversion, and space trajectory optimization. He authored and co-authored more than a hundred journal and conference articles. Dr. Abdelkhalik is Associate Fellow of AIAA, a senior member of the American Astronautical Society (AAS). Dr. Mohamed A. Shabara is a Principal Systems Development Engineer at Solar Turbines. Prior to that, he worked as a marine energy numerical modeling and analysis engineer at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR). He holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University. His research focuses on numerical modeling, optimal control, and fluid–structure interactions.
