Dynamica is a unique Windows-based computer program, allowing the user to explore how animal populations and communities change through time. It uses an exceptionally long-term and comprehensive dataset, collected in a key ecosystem. Using dynamic graphical representation only possible with computing technology, it presents a range of elementary techniques for time series analysis, including data transformations, autocorrelations, moving averages and Fourier analysis, as well as a comparison of the various diversity indices.
