OverviewThis book discusses the similarity between quantum phenomena and Tao philosophy. (This revision removes the Verse-to-Verse translation) Both Tao philosophy and modern sciences seek to understand the reality of nature. The logic in Tao philosophy restores reality from our dualistic thinking. The most fundamental principle ofTao may be expressed as the concept of complementarity in quantum theory. Complementarity is a unified structure of reality, based on our dualistic views of nature. Time and space are dualistic. Particle and wave are dualistic. Relativity and quantum theory are also attempts to unify these dualistic views with complementarity. We may have a fuller appreciation of the true mysteries of Tao with help of publicized quantum theory. The objective of this work is to clearly shows that we can understand the true mysteries of Tao and the mysteries are scientifically familiar.. As shown in the Logic of Tao Philosophy, we are able to show the full mystery of Tao philosophy in terms of complementarity of the opposites. This brings out the important relation of Tao philosophy to the quantum theory. This books discusses Tao philosophy and many quantum effects. Wang was born in Taiwan and migrated to the U.S. for his graduate studies in engineering and physics and received his Ph. D. degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1971. He did research as a theoretical physicist until 1975, then spent five years on fast nuclear reactor safety research. In 1980 he became a telecommunication engineer specializing in advanced mobile telecommunication systems and data communication. His cultural background spans equally both the Eastern and Western worlds. He was able to show similarity between Tao philosophy and quantum theory, present a coherent and consistent logic of Tao philosophy, and show relation of Tao philosophy with systems thinking, religions, and other ancient East and West philosophy. He has successfully translated the most difficult Chinese classic, the Lao-tzu TTC, with minimum ambiguity. His analysis has been published as several books in the Searching for Tao Series. His analysis of logic of Tao Philosophy will set a new framework for modern Tao studies, in both the Eastern and the Western arenas Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
