Dying To Love Amanda

Overview

Deception, lies, jealousy, and delusion can lead to broken dreams, broken lives and eventually even murder. Dying to Love Amanda is a crime story inspired by true events. Amanda Rivers has fallen in love with a very charming Mike DeWitt. Amanda adores Mike, and will do anything to please him including changing her name, her friends and eventually her job. Over the years their relationship changes. Mike becomes more demanding and controlling and disappears for several days, returning home without explanation. Amanda remains faithful to Mike until Ryan Snow enters her life. What began as a friendship eventually becomes love. Amanda ends her relationship with Mike and rents an apartment in Akron's east side neighborhood. Mike, upset with the end of his control over Amanda, begins a ploy to destroy her happiness. Someone will die at the hands of Mike DeWitt. Complicating the story is Kenny Douglas, a delusional man who professes his love for Amanda through stories of knighthood and damsels in distress. Amanda thinks Kenny's love is an innocent crush, but Kenny's feelings run much deeper and become more troubling. Their lives become a dangerous web spun with lies, anger, jealousy and-eventually- murder. Newspaper reporter Annette DeAngelo forms a bond with one of these characters that will change her life forever. Slowly she learns why everyone is Dying to Love Amanda.
