He has published over 30 books and 150 articles on (Dutch) Caribbean history, politics, and anthropology. Jessica V. Roitman is a researcher at the KITLV and a lecturer at Leiden University. She was a fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and received a NWO post-doctoral fellowship. She publishes on Atlantic trade, migration, identity, citizenship, and inter-cultural interactions.
