Five heroes, bound by war and tragedy, believe themselves to be the last living souls in a dead world. Flung from their home into a desolate wasteland of ash and dust, the fellowship's only goal is survival, and their only hope is to find a way back. Led by the Dwelven warrior Eamon, the stoic dwarves Jonsey and Callum, the jovial Gramble Bob, and the wise philosopher Herman must navigate a landscape of bizarre monsters and haunting silence, their bond the only shield against despair. Their desperate search for a portal home leads them to the crooked tower of Archibald, a maddeningly eccentric wizard whose help may prove more dangerous than the wasteland itself. Forced to complete a series of impossible tasks, the heroes find that this strange world holds terrible and familiar echoes. The deeper they travel, the more they uncover-impossible landmarks and ancient secrets buried in the dust that suggest the truth of their predicament is far more horrifying than they ever imagined. They seek a path to the world they remember, but the price of passage may be a truth that shatters their reality. As they follow the ash-strewn road, they must ask themselves: what if the greatest enemy is not the monsters they face, but the answer they seek?
