Overview

Duncan Bock: The Joes follows the sometimes comical adventures of freelance writer Harry Benson as he returns to Gatorbelly, Tennessee, to find stories about interesting people. Harry interviews and becomes friends with Billy Joe and Bobby Joe and many people associated with them, and he becomes best friends with Jo Jo Radish and an enemy of the Pool Boys. This story touches on racial and social issues as well as a romance when Harry waits to love again. About the Authors Doug Riebock (Bobby Joe): This is Doug's second book through Dorrance Publishing. His first, Hunted, came out in November of 2023. He is enjoying retirement with his wife in South Elgin, Illinois. He enjoys gardening, walks, running, and following his six grandchildren around for various events. He is working on a third novel, The Boathouse, set in the early 1970s at the Knox Resort in Sholton, Wisconsin, on the shores of Lake Puckaway. Mark Duncan (Billy Joe): Mark worked for the McCardle Group through Pheasant Run in St. Charles, Il; Winter Hotel Group as CFO/Controller and for Mendel Plumbing as Controller, also in St. Charles. He attended Elgin Community College, Eastern Illinois University and Northern Illinois University. He had lived in the St. Charles area for most of his life with his wife and two sons. He passed away May 1st of 2023 at the age of 68.
