OverviewDualism is the belief that two great, opposing powers-Good and Evil-are locked in an eternal war within and around us. It is humanity's oldest and most profound explanation for the existence of Evil: the unnatural force that denies us our ultimate goal of Immortality, and condemns us to our ultimate pain of Death. Throughout history, all religions, societies, and sciences have been forced to confront Evil. From ancient shamans and priests to modern physicians and governments, humanity's guides have sought to define and defeat it. Yet, as this book reveals, Evil is not a ""natural"" aspect of the human condition; it is a highly real, artificially imposed force upon our world. Dualism began as a conviction of the ancients, but over millennia, it has progressively matured into a religion in its own right. Tracing the trail of the Serpent and the Light from ancient Zoroastrianism, Gnosticism, and Pythagorean number-magic to the practices of the modern Western Foundation of Dualism, this book unveils the hidden history of a cosmic war. In the past, seekers of the Truth had to decipher volumes of rare, esoteric texts to understand the evolution of the Dualist faith. Now, this comprehensive summation brings the history, theology, and enduring magic of Dualism out of the shadows and into the Light. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationSteven Wightman left the service as a Marine Sergeant and pursued a wide range of disciplines throughout his lifetime. He spent 18 months with a Native American Shaman, and became certified in Hypnotherapy, Psychophilogic Integration (called ""user-friendly Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and Oriental Bodywork during breaks from senior roles in computer and network administration. He retired as a Principal Engineer for Special Projects in Information Technology. Mr. Wightman is also an ordained Priest and member of the White Brotherhood of Monks. As a student of religion, he also found during his time at a Benedictine Monastery that the belief in Dualism fit his own personal philosophy based on life experiences. He reached out to Mr. Sikes after finding Sikes' The Wizard's Bible and they began a lengthy correspondence before collaborating on this book. Louis G. Sikes retired as a police lieutenant who had experienced first-hand the results of evil in society during his twenty-three-year career. Early in his career he began to develop a theory concerning the cause of the multitude of evils delivered by man upon man, not only from his observations but his active part in stemming the daily flow. He studied all kinds of religious theory, philosophy and practice, and settled upon Dualism as the religious philosophy best reflecting his observations. He recognized two powerful principles at work in man, in the world and in the universe, which are diametrically and rigidly opposed to each other: one being Good, the other Evil.Mr. Sikes was ordained as a Pastor in the Church of Jesus Christ, the official Church of the Western Foundation of Dualism, in 1983. He subsequently wrote The Wizards Bible published by International Imports, and it is his belief that the best way to reach the most people with any given philosophy is through the printed word.
