Overview"Some call it the most dangerous stagecoach in the West. But the hard-driving owners of the Frontier Overland Company will get you where you want to go--if you don't mind a detour through hell . . . The Civil War is over. But Wyoming Territory is still a battleground for the native tribes who live there. Most folks avoid the area like the plague. But not former Texas Ranger Butch Keeler and his saloon fight buddy Tucker Cobb. They figured Wyoming would be the perfect place to launch the Frontier Overland Company--a rough-and-ready stagecoach operation that dares to go where others fear to tread. Butch and Cobb aren't afraid of much--but their next stagecoach trip could change all that. And it just might be their last . . . The passengers are good people: Colonel McBride, who's delivering much-needed supplies to Fort Washington, and his lovely niece, who wants to visit her dying father. Even though the road to get there is overrun with armed Lakota, Cheyenne, and other deadly threats, Butch and Cobb are determined to help an old friend. Problem is, their worst enemy--a power-hungry business rival and self-described ""King""--is out there. Waiting for them. Laying a trap to destroy their operation. And plotting to burn everything to the ground. Over Butch and Cobb's dead bodies . . ." Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationWilliam Wallace Johnstone (1938-2004), born in southern Missouri, was a prolific American author, mostly of Western, horror, and survivalist novels. He began writing in 1970 but had his first novel, The Devil's Kiss, published in 1979. After his death, it was announced that a carefully selected author had been chosen to carry on his legacy. J. A. Johnstone is continuing William W. Johnstone's series. J. A. Johnstone learned to write from the master himself, Uncle William W. Johnstone, who began tutoring J. A. at an early age. After-school hours were often spent retyping manuscripts or researching his massive American western history library as well as the more modern wars and conflicts. J. A. worked hard and learned, later going on to become the coauthor of William W. Johnstone's many bestselling westerns and thrillers. J. A. Johnstone lives on a ranch in Tennessee. Born and bred in the USA, James R. Cheatham has literally been around the world and back again. James is a retired military veteran, and has been to war four times. Now, he narrates audiobooks full time. He started back in 2018 with some divine direction, and is absolutely loving it. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
