Overview

This book presents my experience as a volunteer music teacher at the Escola de Educação Percussiva Integral (EEPI) in the city of Salvador, Bahia. This work describes historical and current factors related to social projects and presents the results obtained during my intervention as a music teacher at the institution. I tried to understand the role of music at EEPI, to discover whether musical learning served as an important vehicle for restoring human dignity through the generosity of people who believe in rebuilding the social fabric through transformative music education.
