Ralph Johnson, Ph.D., has been a drummer, vocalist, and percussinist with Earth, Wind & Fire since 1972, with whom his more notable recordings include That's the Way of the World and the Beatles' Got to Get You into My Life. His highly spritied playing style is totally captured on their first live recording for CBS, Gratitude. There's no doubt his drumming is deeply rooted in R&B---Ralph has written for and/or produced such artists as the Whispers, the Temptations, Les McCann, Howard Hewett, Keyshia Cole, Philip Bailey, EW&F, and hip-hop giant Jay-Z. With the other two founding members of the band, Philip Bailey and Verdine White, Ralph continues to tour the world and bring much joy to those who have embraced the music of Earth, Wind & Fire.
