In the past decade he has worked as a fundraiser in humanitarian organizations like UNICEF and Save the Children. He also has a background as a graphic designer. He still works as a volunteer International Coordinator in Tibetan National Sports Association. Thomas Mikkelsen(1987) is an illustrator, art teacher, and comic book artist who currently lives in Copenhagen. He has contributed to various Danish comic anthologies and has published two graphic novels of his own. In 2014 his graphic novel won a Danish award for best debut.
