Overview

Dreams and Shadows is a gripping novel set in Britain and France during World War 2. The story follows the lives of two young people, Tommy and Dora, whose budding romance is ripped apart by the horrors of the Sheffield Blitz and by the criminal gangs that exploited the turmoil created by war. Their lives are forced into new and separate directions. Tommy abandons a promising career to enlist in the army and takes part in the D-Day landings.
