Dreamland-a game I played as a child in the yard of my childhood home on Princeton Street. But, also, a realm that my friends and I were transported to after whirling around the yard in circles until we were dizzy and fell to the ground. When we awoke-we were in Dreamland, where our imaginations took us on all kinds of adventures. Each chapter in this book tells of a unique adventure experienced in Dreamland each time the game was played. Dreamland represents a time before video games and social media where a child's imagination could run rampant, especially when fueled by supportive parents, willing friends (real and imaginary), and the desire to experience more than a particular reality had to offer. At the beginning of each chapter, think of two or more kids, holding hands and spinning around and around and around in this yard until they got so dizzy they fell to the grass and when they awoke looking up in the sky, sometimes cloudy, sometimes perfectly blue, they realized they were in a different land and so the story goes....
