Author Information

A. Spring was born in the Southern Vietnamese city of Cần Thơ. A diligent and hard working, mostly self taught pupil, A. Spring started his career as a tax specialist. After ten years Spring was mobilised into the army, graduating to the rank of second lieutenant and placed in charge of an anti guerrilla force. Having fought bravely throughout the 1960s and 70s, he was imprisoned by the North Vietnamese regime as a prisoner of war for two years, following which he and his family left the country in search of a better life. They settlied for a short time in Malaysia before emigrating to Switzerland in the 1980s where they now live.Having seen the tragedies and miseries of war first hand, Spring is determined to do all he can to prevent the constant wars that plague our planet. He does this both through teaching from his experiences and using humorous and entertaining stories.
