Musician, artist and historian Anne-Karoline Distel takes us on a tour of some of her favourite historical sites. Get inspired by her tunes and drawings to discover Ireland's monumental treasures, mostly off the beaten track. Anne-Karoline Distel came to Ireland from Germany in 2016 following the call of music. She is a classically trained violinist who embraced the new challenge of Irish traditional music and delved right into it. She has a passion for Irish history and has worked as a tour guide. Her interest in Ireland's fauna was expressed by her 2018 publication ""100 Birds of Ireland in Watercolour"". Videos of the tunes are provided on her Youtube channel akathistle music.
