Overview
A unique construction project is under way in the western half of Doha's old city centre, Msheireb, aimed at rebuilding the city centre and reshaping it for contemporary needs. In Drawing from Doha, a team of 12 artists from Qatar and the UK record the process of change and preserve a part of the old town in pencil, chalk and paint. The drawings and paintings go beyond observation, recording a sequence of encounters, frozen moments and fragments of experience, accompanied by the artists' own words.
