Table of ContentsReviewsCT on October 8, 2015 How children develop, what hangs them up, how they think - are all distinctive parts of how they learn. This book offers insight and options for families and teachers in how to address behavior issues and work through the everyday difficulties of children to keep them in the learning zone. Very helpful information. M.M. on November 5, 2015 Just this morning I picked Dragons & Daisies again. What a great tool it is! I can only imagine how much more successful caregivers are once they begin to understand how these little systems are processing all the information coming their way. They'll certainly see improvements quickly with the help of this book. I love the lessons. The daisy is fantastic! Amanda Elliott on September 23, 2015 I feel that this is a really crucial book for everyone who is involved with children on a daily basis should read, whether you are a parent who is struggling with the fact that your toddler is having complete meltdowns on a daily basis, and you want to find ways to help them process their emotional turmoil in a positive way. JE on August 31, 2015 I love this book. It is written in a way that is easy to understand but is full of very profound information. I have found her advice to be very helpful for working with pre-school age children. All teachers and parents should have a copy of this book. Bobbie Ann Coleon September 20, 2015 This delightful book helps early years teachers, parents and caretakers alike to understand baffling behavior in youngsters and deal with it. Whether a child is hyper and aggressive or frozen with fear, or in any state in-between that can prevent learning to take place, Letha Marchetti offers a remedy that calms and awakens both. Her beautifully-presented and illustrated book is peppered with case studies, insights and strategies that are sometimes surprising. Her remedies are effective. For instance, she recommends different shoes for a child she defines as craving the reassurance of special awareness and that fills him with new confidence. This book, rather than labeling children as naughty or troubled, invites us to observe individual behavior and think outside of the box to help them. A really enjoyable and useful read. Robert VS on September 15, 2015 Here is a book that is as important for parents as it is for professional educators. As parents, we tend to see our children in a sunny golden light, until they do something irritating. Then we either blame them or we blame ourselves, or both. We are told endlessly by the socially prominent gurus of getting along that we are supposed to breathe , count , drop the blame. Instead of calling upon us to rise to saintly smiles and serenity in the face of children who are everything from not fitting in to troublemakers and little s*** , here are real things to do that will bring these little people into interactive modes. Linda M on September 8, 2015 I read your book and I have to say that I really really really loved it. I think it is absolutely phenomenal. Not only should this book be in every preschool but I strongly feel that it also belongs in all grade schools that have children with special needs. So many teachers are not equipped to handle children with behavior issues. As I was reading your book many situations resonated deeply with me and every explanation as to how we can bring ourselves back on our daisy petal is absolutely true. If we are not on our daisy petal, we will never be successful in bringing the child on to theirs. All this to say that you have hit the nail on the head with this one. I love the stories, I love the title of the book, I love the layout, I love your keys to resolving baffling behaviour...I love it all!
