Drafting Differences

Overview

Two writers. One deadline. Zero chance they'll make it through without rewriting the rules. Bestselling romance author Sherry Evans likes control-her outlines, her covers, her happily-ever-afters. Thrill-writer Peter Cook prefers chaos, caffeine, and explosions on page one. When their literary agent pairs them together for a high-profile collaboration, neither expects to survive the week, let alone finish a book. But a mandatory writing retreat forces Sherry and Peter into close quarters, where arguments turn into banter, late-night brainstorming becomes something almost tender, and the line between fiction and feeling blurs more with every chapter they draft. Just as they find their rhythm, social media drama, industry politics, and an unexpected movie deal threaten to derail the partnership-and the fragile trust growing between them.

Author Information

I was born in the Laurentians of Quebec, in the year when ""Perry Mason"" first made its debut on TV and when Slinky and Hula Hoops were popular toys! And yes, the TV set was in black & white! My interest as a writer revolves around history, genealogy and women's stories within those contexts. I find that women have been understated in our historical narrative, and I am trying to correct that one story at a time. I am an avid reader of the traditional British mystery. Now retired, I live in Cornwall, Ontario, where I volunteer with various heritage, history and genealogical groups. My partners in crime are KC and Bella, my two rescue cats.
