Author Information

Robin Wilensky is passionate about Web 2.0 technologies, integrating them into education, and ensuring safe yet effective use of these tools. She founded an organization in 2008 to meet the needs of parents concerned about their children's online safety, but the mission has since expanded to include educating parents and teachers about online safety and technology literacy. Robin is also the Director of Educational Technology at a private school. She works with teachers to integrate technology into their curriculum; educates students on online safety and digital etiquette; manages the school's online presence; teaches computer science and runs student technology clubs. In her community, Robin sits on several technology committees. She also coaches a local robotics team. Robin obtained a Masters of Arts degree in Educational Technology and holds teaching certifications in Educational Technology and Business Education. She also earned an M.B.A. in Management Information Systems and a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing. Robin lives with her loving husband (who helped edit this book) and wonderful daughter (who can't fathom a world without electronics).
