Cavalrymen, infantry, sharpshooters, Zouaves, from captains and commanders to privates, all who wore the blues and the grays and the colorful and captivating reds, greens, yellows, and golds are shown in vivid and accurate detail. Troiani's masterful depictions and Field's documentation are based on impeccable research of firsthand accounts and quartermaster reports and careful attention to surviving artifacts.
