Alfredo Escande (Montevideo, Uruguay) is a guitarist, teacher, and researcher. He was a student of the renowned concert guitarist and pedagogue Abel Carlevaro, collaborating in the writing of the maestro's many books on guitar technique and theory. He has given concerts and master classes in Europe, Israel, and Latin America. He is also the author of the award-winning biography Abel Carlevaro: Un nuevo mundo en la guitarra.
